🦄🌙🌈🔮

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a filmmaker. I didn't know what I wanted to say, but I wanted to be able to share what the world looks and feels like to me. It's been pretty amazing coming full circle via photography and back to filmmaking.

We love following your career. What are you currently working on?

I'm currently working on a few projects. A big one is an eco fashion documentary, and I have a few ambitious shoots that are in various stages of production. I'm super excited to bring some of these shoots to life.

You are an ultimate “babe.” What does the term mean to you?

Being an ultimate babe means being in charge of your own path, taking responsibility for yourself and your actions, helping people along the way, and doing everything from a place of love.

Who is your babe icon? Why?

This is a tough one for me, can it be more than one babe? All the women who've come forward with the #MeToo and #TimesUp movement. I think they are the ultimate icons because they are creating actionable change to an issue that has affected far too many babes.

Our brand is all about friendship. Who are your best babes?

Ooh this is a tough one since I don't want to miss anybody. Let me just say that my best babes are the people who I would also consider 'ultimate babes.' They work hard, are aware of their bodies needs (hello, self-care), are genuinely passionate about their work, and are no bulls*t people. We can go months without talking and it's like no time has passed. We are just happy to connect when we can and be each other's cheerleaders, therapists, sounding boards. If there's ever a conflict, it's handled directly without blame, just everyone taking responsibility for their own humanity.

How do you and your babes support one another?

We support each other in every way possible. Sometimes that means picking up the phone late at night to let them vent, or having that uncomfortable conversation, other times it's being a cheerleader or just enjoying time together. The most important aspect is that we are there for one another, not just when times are easy, but when times are tough. The reality is when you're as ambitious as we all are, that also means we are taking risks, being vulnerable with our skills, and being out in the world, which can be a very critical space.

What's your favorite thing to do with your Best Babes?

Ooh, celebrations are always fun, but random slumber parties and watching bad tv or movies together has to be my favorite. Either way, there's usually in-n-out involved somehow.

Giving back is key to our brand. How do you give back to make the world a better place?

My career is focused on elevating people and brands who create and promote community, equality, sustainability, education, and other world-changing purposes. Beyond that, I am involved with a few charities as well as try to personally live a more sustainable and eco-friendly life.

What is the best advice one of your Babes has given you?

Be happy. I know it sounds really simple. I heard this in a time when I didn't even remember what it felt like to be happy. It took a few different babes to plant the seed and for me to hear it, but once I did there was no turning back. I am the sole being responsible for my happiness and self-care, and that's pretty darn empowering.

What is the clothing or accessories piece of Beau’s Babes that you can’t live without?

I'm obsessed with my patch jacket, but the bandanas (which I have in 5 colors already) are my go-to. I use them as fashion accessories, when I go camping to keep cool, as hankies, it's a rare occasion when I don't have one on me.

What is your favorite Beau’s Babes font and embroidery color?

I love the handwritten for the bandanas, the cursive for the jackets & sweaters. Embroidery color, it would have to be a tie between the purple and the neon pink.
